Pecan Sandies

These cookies bring back memories for me….I think it was Nabisco that had the original Pecan Sandies.  We rarely were able to get some but when we did, We were so excited. These are easy to make and taste great!  It’s always better to make homemade.  I found this recipe @ Tastes Better From Scratch.

Pecan Sandies

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 – cups pecans – coursely chopped
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt.


Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar together until well combined.
  2. Add vanilla and mix.
  3. Add flour, salt, and pecans and stir to combine.
  4. Chill the cough for 20 minutes.
  5. Roll into 1 1/2 inch balls.
  6. Take a glass cup and wet the bottom slightly.
  7. Gently press the balls using the bottom of the glass.
  8. Bake @ 350° for about 15 minutes
