Glazed Carrots

This recipe is so yummy!  Sweet, fresh carrots.

Glazed carrots

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh carrots – I do not peel but do cut to about 3″
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 T bitter
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • parsley – optional

Instructions

  1. Cut carrots and place in saucepan with water.
  2. Cook until they reach the texture you prefer.  (I like mine soft)
  3. Drain water
  4. Add butter, lemon juice, brown sugar and cinnamon
  5. Toss
  6. Keep warm, on low until ready to eat.
  7. Add parsley if you choose, just before serving.

Notes

We always use fresh carrots for this but I am sure you can purchase a bag and it would taste similar.
