I love this place! It’s home. They knew my Dad better than a lot of people which means so much and allows me the advantage of sharing things. They are located on Darke Lane in Kearneysville, West Virginia, as a small, locally rooted farm and garden center that reflects the character of Jefferson County’s agricultural community. Rather than operating as a large commercial nursery, this place is a more personal, down-to-earth experience where we stop in but not just for a quick pick-up. We stop to connect, to talk about our families. To pray together and support each other through the highs and lows. No other nursery in our area offers what Bobby Carter and Nancy do. The setting itself feels rural and welcoming, often drawing in both regulars and visitors looking for something more authentic than a chain store garden center.

The nursery is known for its variety of plants, including flowers, vegetable starters, and shrubs suited to the region. Hanging baskets, ferns, geraniums and full pots of multiple kinds of flowers and plants make perfect gifts – that’s what we did for Mother’s Day! I even grabbed some perennials for our barrel out front recently. I am excited to not have to plant something every Spring. One of my fav’s this year is the fern. I have always loved ferns but never had much luck. I am determined this year! They started small and have grown into beauty!
