About Bev –
I’ve always considered myself a small-town girl. Maybe it’s because I’ve lived within a five-mile radius my entire life— rooted in the same place, watching it change while holding onto what matters most.
I don’t have a college degree, and I wouldn’t call myself an expert in anything. But I’ve spent a lifetime learning in other ways—through raising a family, through hard seasons, through everyday moments that quietly shape who you become. I’ve tried my best to instill good values in our children, and I still wake up each day with the same goal: to be a little better than I was yesterday.
Life has a way of teaching you things you never find in books. Those lessons have changed how I see the world—slower, softer, and with a deeper appreciation for what’s right in front of me.

Simple and easy going, just the way I like it. Our house isn’t fancy or elaborate—it’s lived in, warm, and welcoming, with a “Bless This Home” on the wall and a seasonal flag by the porch. There are birds to feed, hanging plants inside and out, and a cozy kitchen that’s always in use. A welcome mat greets you at the door, and even the delivery folks know our pets—it’s that kind of place.

A grace-filled day doesn’t begin with perfection – it starts with intention. Like a Bible in your hands, letting truth settle your heart before the world has its say. Add a prayer or a simple devotional to guide your thoughts, like a gentle nudge back to what matters. An open mind and a quiet space – where you can breathe, pray and listen. It’s in these small steady rhythms that grace finds its way into the whole day.
Living in a small town, with a country setting gives us the advantage of nature –
Each morning, as we sip our coffee and ease into the day, we’re treated to a quiet, simple show just outside our window. Three or four bird feeders draw a steady stream of visitors, fluttering in and out with a kind of determined grace. Now and then, a squirrel or a red-bellied woodpecker disrupts the calm, sending the smaller birds scattering, but they always return. There’s something comforting in watching them—no matter the interruption, they find a way to gather just enough to carry on. Over the years we have figured out some things that make it even more enjoyable for us and even the birds. 🐦⬛

As the season for outdoor gatherings rolls in, there’s nothing I enjoy more than showing up with a dessert that brings people together. Family. Friends. Fellowship. It’s so good for the heart. 💞 And whether it’s a well known homemade classic or a fresh recipe, I love making and sharing a great after dinner treat that sparks conversation and creates lasting memories around the table. There’s something especially rewarding about watching friends and family go back for seconds—and even better when someone asks, “Can I get that recipe?” The ultimate compliment, though, is heading home with an empty dish, knowing every last bite was enjoyed.

I am definitely a morning person. I love the start of a fresh day. I always start by thanking God for another day, and praying for wisdom to get through the day. I have one cup of coffee with my husband, talking about our day and then I’m off. Making a list and checking things off.
