Bread Pudding (with Nutmeg)
This bread pudding is my favorite and one I grew up on. I do have two other recipes on my blog. One is my Mother-in-Law’s which my husband prefers for the same reason – he grew up on it 🫶🏼. And the third is actually one with a caramel sauce. Try them all and let me know which you prefer.

Ingredients
Scale
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups milk
- nutmeg
- enough bread to make a pudding
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Whisk the eggs
- Add sugar and milk
- Sprinkle some nutmeg into the mix
- Break 3 -4 slices of bread into small pieces – you may need more
- Put the bread into the mixture – it should be ‘soupy’.
- Pour into prepared baking dish – I use 8 x 8
- Sprinkle nutmeg to your liking on top.
- Bake in a pan of water for 1 hour

Thanks for stopping by – until next time, may your days be grace filled, your kitchen warm and your heart rooted right where you are. 🩶
