Honey Garlic Shrimp
This recipe is great for your ‘seafood’ menu of the week. I double the recipe and use the frozen shrimp from Costco – uncooked, peeled, deveined.

Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb uncooked shrimp
- 2/3 cup honey – I use local
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced – or 2 T squeeze garlic (I get the big container from Costco or Sams)
- 2 tsp fresh ginger – this really does make a difference. We ❤️ fresh ginger.
- 4 T Olive oil
Instructions
- Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic and ginger together in a medium bowl
- Place the shrimp in a large zip lock bag
- Pour 1/2 of the marinade/sauce on top of the shrimp and shake
- Allow the shrimp to marinade for at least 30 minutes. (I have done longer and it’s fine)
- Place the remaining marinade in the refrigerator
- Heat Olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat
- Place shrimp (disguard marinade in the bag) in the skillet – cook for about 1 – 2 minutes per side then flip
- Pour remaining marinade over the shrimp and cook until shrimp are cooked thoroughly – usually another minute or two
- Serve over rice along with a veggie – fresh or frozen broccoli pairs well.

Thanks for stopping by – until next time, may your days be grace filled, your kitchen warm and your heart rooted right where you are. 🩶
