Sloppy Joe – homemade 💕
This sloppy joe recipe is easy but does require more ingredients given you are not using the McCormick’s Seasoning packet.

Ingredients

- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp Olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 T Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp prepared mustard
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Black pepper to taste
- Hamburger buns
Instructions
- Make the sauce in a 2 cup glass measuring cup or small bowl
- Stir together the tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder and pepper. Set aside.
- With a small amount of olive oil, saute the garlic for a minute, until fragrant
- Add ground beef and continue to cook over medium heat until nicely browned and done.
- Drain the grease/fat.
- Pour the sauce over the ground beef, stirring to combine.
- Simmer for at least 10 minutes.
- Serve hot on hamburger buns.
