Swedish Meatballs
This is an old time favorite, using pre-mixed McCormick’s packets. You can also mix your own for that ‘homemade’ taste.

Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pkg McCormick Swedish Meetball mix
- 2 lbs fresh ground beef
- 2/3 cup water
- 4 T oil
- 4 cups milk
- Parsley – optional
Instructions
- The seasoning packet contains 2 sleeves
- Open #2 and pour into a large bowl
- Add hamburger and water to bowl – mixing well (I use food safe gloves for a consistent mixing)
- Shape into 1 – 1 1/2 “ balls – (I use the small scoop for consistent size)
- Heat oil in large skillet – medium heat
- Add meatballs, cooking for about 10 minutes or until 160
- Remove meatballs – you may need to cook multiple batches
- Open envelope #1, pouring into bowl with milk. Mix well.
- Add to skillet after meatballs are done.
- Stir constantly until sauce comes to a boil
- Reduce heat and simmer until thickened about 5-7 minutes
- Add meatballs back to sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for about 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle with Parsley and serve over egg noodles or rice.
